Math & Science Club
As members of OSU's Math & Science Club, students in grades 4 through 12 engage in hands-on activities and learn about the world and wonders of math and science. The Math & Science Club is a partnership between The OSU Medical Center and the Community Extension Center. Students are shown in activities preparing bottle rockets for launching, eating cotton candy which they created and crafting kaleidoscopes.See the fun they've had!

The Ray Miller Institute for Change & Leadership (RMLI)
The RMLI is a ten week course offered to participants from the community and is designed to cultivate the knowledge and skills necessary for effective leadership. Presented through a partnership of the Community Extension Center, the Office of Continuing Education at The Ohio State University and The Center for Urban Progress, the institute features an array of accomplished leaders from the OSU and Columbus communities and is named in honor of State Senator and Minority Whip Ray Miller.Being the change you wish to see

Black Veteran's Salute
Every Veteran's Day, the Community Extension Center hosts an event which recognizes the contributions made by Black men and women who served in the U.S. military. Honored units have included members of the Tuskegee Airmen and African American Veterans of the Vietnam War and the Vietnam War Era.
Summer Residential Program
The week-long Summer Residential Program is designed to provide rising high school juniors and seniors with both an appreciation for and understanding of African American cultural and historical study. During the summer of 2007, students engaged in a focused study of the remarkable achievements of African American writers, dancers, painters, actors and musicians that forever changed American pop culture. As a learning activity, students visited the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH.See how they ROCKED!

Classes at the AAASCEC
University and community groups utilize the Community Extension Center to hold various classes, programs, meetings and events. Courses offered at the Community Extension Center fulfill degree requirements and allow students to enhance their education beyond traditional university walls.Classes in session
